Galvanized steel Strip production process
The manufacturing of galvanized steel strip typically follows a continuous line. It starts with cleaning the cold-rolled steel strip in an annealing furnace to remove oils and oxides. The strip is then heated to a specific temperature.
Next, it passes through a molten zinc bath for coating via the hot-dip process.
After exiting the bath, air knives control the coating thickness.
Finally, the strip is cooled and may undergo additional treatments like passivation or skin-pass rolling before being coiled.
